FRAMINGHAM DEMOCRATS TO HOLD CANDIDATE DEBATE
FOR THE 6TH MIDDLESEX HOUSE DISTRICT SUNDAY NIGHT

Framingham (8/20/18) – The Framingham Democratic Committee will be holding a Candidate’s Debate for the four Democratic candidates vying to fill the Sixth Middlesex District House seat vacated by the loss of our dear departed Chris Walsh, on Sunday night, August 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  This event will be co-hosted by the Metrowest Daily News and the Framingham Democratic Committee. It will be held at the Heritage Assisted Living, 747 Water Street, across from the Nobscot Shopping Center. Attendees are asked to please park in the lot at the Hemenway School, adjacent to the Heritage.

The four Democrats who will be participating are Mary Kate Feeney, who formerly worked in the Deval Patrick administration, and who was instrumental in the passage of the Framingham City Charter; Michael Gatlin, Chair of the City’s Economic Development Industrial Corporation, and a Framingham attorney; Maria Duaime Robinson, an engineer who is an expert in clean energy, helping a variety of municipalities and states adopt sustainable energy solutions; and Mark Tilden, who ran for Mayor in the last election and practices law in Framingham.

Democratic Committee Chair, Beverly Hugo, said, “As we approach the primary, which is the day after Labor Day, it is important to hear from each of the candidates about their priorities, hopes and plans to continue to bring Framingham’s needs to the forefront of our state’s legislative agenda.  Even though nobody can fill Chris Walsh’s shoes, it is important that we fill his seat with the strongest voice we can elect. We are fortunate to have such an excellent field of candidates to come forward to make this commitment.”

As always, light refreshments and finger foods will be served prior to the beginning of the debate.
