Call to Order: Chair Beverly Hugo called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. 

1. Announcements: Beverly opened with a sad note, requesting a moment of silence to recognize the untimely passing of our long-time member Stephanie Mercandetti. “Stephanie was almost a life-member, and was a wonderful person, imbued with an infectious joy.  We will miss her enthusiasm and wisdom.”

Kathie McCarthy made a motion to approve the expenditure of $50 toward the funding of the Democratic State Committee (DSC) meeting scheduled for 2/8/2018 at Framingham High School.

Margareth must step down as Treasurer because she was elected to the City Council.

Candidates’ Forum

Call to Order: Chair Beverly Hugo called the meeting to order at 5:34 PM.

1. Announcements:

– Jeanne Bullock recently fell and broke her arm; a get-well card is circulating, so please sign.  Clearly, we will need an interim Hospitality Chair for the next few meetings until Jeanne regains use of her arm.  – We are also seeking a Minority Outreach Chair as our current chair is no longer able to attend meetings on Sunday evenings.

– We will be electing at least one new member of the FDTC in November.

– Beverly requested a moment of silence for Devin Suau, the 6 year-old Framingham boy who died last Friday.(Read more…)

Starting today, attendance will be taken using the new badges on lanyards. Attending members will pick up their badges upon entering, and return them to a special basket at the conclusion of the meeting.

A total income of $565.75 and expenses of 688.22 decreased the 6-11-2017 balance of $2,912.57 to $2,790.10.  Annual dues are now being accepted.
