Framingham Democratic Committee life-member Ruth Litter passed away on November 7, 2021 at the age of 97.
Ruth was born in the Bronx in 1924 and taught in the New York public schools. She was the first woman to chair the Framingham Library Board of Trustees.

The 2022 Framingham Democratic caucus was held on Saturday February 12th, conducted virtually on Zoom. Framingham’s delegation to the 2022 Democratic State Convention was elected at this caucus comprised of 37 delegates (19 female, 18 male) and 6 alternates.
At the January 18, 2021 meeting of the Framingham City Council, FDC life-member Phil Ottaviani was elected Chair of the City Council. Ottaviani was first elected to the City Council, District 6, in 2019 and to a second term in 2021.
He has previously served on Framingham’s Zoning Board of Appeals and is a past chair of the Framingham Democratic Committee.

Adam Steiner, incumbent, has won special election for the District 3 City Council seat defeating challenger Mary Kate Feeney; both are members of the Framingham Democratic Committee. The November election had initially ended in victory for Steiner by 2 votes.(Read more…)
FDC member Priscila Sousa was elected Chair of the Framingham School Committee.
Under the Framingham charter the School Committee Chair functions include presiding at all meetings of the school committee, regulate the proceedings of meetings, and decide all questions of order, appoint members of all subcommittees of the school committee.
