You are welcome to attend a future meeting of the Framingham Democratic Town Committee (DTC) and listen in on the proceedings. Information on our next meeting is shown on the Calendar page. Minutes of past meetings for the last few years are posted on the Framingham Democratic Committee’s website Minutes page. The minutes will also help to give you an idea on what goes on within the Framingham Democratic Committee.

Most people initially join as Associate Members of the FDC. To do so, a person must be a registered Democrat in the City of Framingham and attend a meeting of the FDC where he/she states intent to become an Associate Member and then pays the Associate Membership dues. Regular members dues are $20, Associate members $15 (dues are voluntary, contact the Committee Treasurer for more information).

The Regular Committee Members are elected every four years on the Presidential Primary ballot. The current FDC Members were elected in February 2016. The next election for FDC Members will be in 2020. Vacancies that occur in the Membership are filled by the Regular Members of the Framingham Democratic Committee. Associate Members who are interested in filling a vacancy may be considered for election by the Committee to fill such vacancies.

Associate Members do not vote in the regular proceedings of the Framingham Democratic Committee. Associate members can serve on sub-committees of the Democratic Committee and may vote on the sub-committee decisions.

Regular Members, Associate Members and also registered Democrats are eligible to seek election as delegates and alternates to the state and national conventions.
