Framingham Democrats to meet this Sunday evening
 
Framingham (3/14/18) – Democrats in Framingham will be holding their March Meeting at 7:00 PM, this Sunday, March 18th, at the Community Room at The Framingham Green, 136 Maynard Road.

In addition to receiving reports from Framingham’s Beacon Hill delegation, the five Subcommittees: Civics Education, Communications, Legislative/Advocacy, Outreach and Civility will also be giving short reports. The Committee will also discuss and vote upon a recommendation from the Stephanie Mercandetti Memorial Committee, chaired by Sen. David Magnani.

There will be a discussion of the upcoming Democratic State Convention, to be held in June in Worcester, and of plans being made to prepare our delegation.  There will also be a discussion of mid-term election opportunities for local, state and regional participation.  It is anticipated that various candidates for state-wide constitutional office, as well as county and regional office will be in attendance. They will each be given an opportunity to discuss their campaigns. 
 
The Committee will also consider various membership issues, potentially leading to the election of up to two new Regular Members.  A Nominating Committee will also be appointed to nominate a slate of officers for election at next month’s Annual Meeting.
 
This month’s charity will be collecting household items and non-perishable food items for donation to those living in the Pathways and Pearl Street shelters. Members are asked to be especially mindful of the needs of families with infants and children when shopping for items to be donated.

The Framingham Democratic Town Committee normally meets on the third Sunday evening of the month at the Community Building at Framingham Green, 136 Maynard Road, Framingham, MA 01701.  Next month’s Annual Meeting will be held on April 22nd.
