District Conference Feb 9

2MN DSC Vacancy To Be Filled February 9th

The 2nd Middlesex Norfolk male ballot seat on the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee (previously held by the late Chris Walsh), will be filled at a district conference taking place on Saturday February 9, 2019 at the Ashland Community Center from 1pm to 4pm.

Local Democratic committees within the 2nd Middlesex Norfolk senate district will send their respective delegations to the district conference for the purpose of voting in the election to fill this seat on the Democratic State Committee.

Framingham has been allotted 35 delegates to the district conference. The delegation will be gender balanced, 17 male, 17 female and 1 of any gender. The Framingham Democratic Committee will elect delegates to attend this conference at the next business meeting of the FDC on Sunday Jan. 13th.

Any registered Democrat in the City of Framingham may seek election to be a delegate to the district conference.

Jan 2019 Business Meeting

The Framingham Democratic Committee will resume its business meetings starting on January 13, 2019. The meeting will be held in the Community Room of the Framingham Green, 136 Maynard Road, Framingham.

Meeting begins at 7:00pm, preceded by a social hour at 6pm.

Clark Elected Caucus Vice Chair

Congresswoman Katherine Clark whose district, the Massachusetts 5th CD, includes the City of Framingham has been elected Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus.

Clark was endorsed by civil rights icon, Congressman John Lewis who gave a glowing recommendation for Clark’s nomination.

Katherine Clark was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 2013 and has made an impressive climb up the leadership ladder. She is credited as a driving force behind the 2018 Democratic Blue Wave midterm election victories.
