Caucus Scheduled For June 27

Caucus To Elect Framingham’s Delegate To the 2021 State Convention
Taking Place At Edward’s Church

Framingham Democrats will caucus on Sunday June 27, 2021 for the purpose of electing delegates to represent Framingham at the 2021 Democratic State Convention.

As pandemic restrictions on gathering are beginning to ease, it is expected this caucus will be held as live event with an option for remote participation.

Those wishing to participate remotely should request the Zoom link by sending email to:  framingham.democrats@gmail.com

The caucus will be held at Edward’s Church, 39 Edwards Street in Framingham.

Registration desk opens at 1:30pm.

Call-to-order at 2pm.  Nominations begin after registration desk closes at  2:15pm.

All participants in the caucus must be registered Democratic Party voters in Framingham.  Same day voter registration is permitted.

Fair Share Amendment On ’22 Ballot

Amendment Proposes 4% Tax Increase On Income Over $1M

The Fair Share Amendment has passed the Constitutional Convention and will appear on the November 2022 state-wide ballot in Massachusetts.  If passed it will impose a 4% tax increase on incomes of $1 million or greater.

The additional revenue is targeted for education and transportation.

Framingham state representative Maria D. Robinson is a co-sponsor of the amendment.

John “Jack” Duffy Passes Away

Sad News On Death of FDC Member, Past Officer

Jack Duffy passed away on June 6, 2021.  Duffy had served as the Committee’s secretary from 2012 to 2014.

“Members & Friends,

I am so sorry to have to announce that our beloved Jack Duffy has passed after a short but difficult illness. He passed away last night.

Please join me in prayer for Jack, and for Carmen as she summons the strength to keep moving forward.  This has been a terrible ordeal for Carmen as she has watched her most cherished friend endure this pain.(Read more…)
