Steiner Re-Elected In Special Election

Jan 11th Special Election Result

Adam Steiner, incumbent, has won special election for the District 3 City Council seat defeating challenger Mary Kate Feeney; both are members of the Framingham Democratic Committee.  The November election had initially ended in victory for Steiner by 2 votes.

A recount resulted in 2 additional votes for Feeney creating a tie.  Steiner challenged the 2 additional votes and was able to get them removed, however 2 irregularities were brought to light by Feeney and the final decision was to have a special election to decide the race.

This special election was held on January 11, 2022 with Steiner winning 716 to 532.  Adam Steiner has been elected to the City Council for the third time.

The FDC congratulates both Adam Steiner on his victory and Mary Kate Feeney for an honorable campaign.
